After work one Friday night a few years ago. My wife and I decided to go to Daytona Beach for the weekend. We had everything always ready to go. Just pac a few things to wear and food and drinks (Pepsi) for us.
We were living in Gainesville, Florida at the time, so it was only about 45 mins to Daytona Beach. We stopped at a KOA Campground. Paid our money and found a campsite that we thought would be OK. The next morning when we woke up we saw the most beautyful site that I could have ever even dreamed of.
The campsite we picked out was right next to the sea oats (protected here in Florida) and over looking the Atlantic Ocean. The tide was coming in and the waves were about 3 feet high. The sounds of the waves, the smell of the Atlantic Ocean and the Sun rise. Now that is a site that will stay with me for years to come. Just remembering it and writing about I can hear the crashing waves and smell the ocean. I hope you have many, many camping trips like that one.
Size is also another factor that you may want to take into consideration, when choosing a campsite. When reviewing campgrounds, you will find that different campground parks have different sizes camp sites. Often times, the larger campsites are designed for those with multiple tents or with motor homes. Before agreeing to rent a particular camping site, you will want to make sure that the site in question is large enough for all of your camping group members.
This is important as not having enough space could put a damper on your next camping adventure. The above mentioned factors are just a few of the many factors that you may want to take into consideration, when choosing a camping spot for your next camping adventure.
